Methodology

How we verify prices

A price we haven't checked is a rumor. We publish only what we've checked, and we date it.

Three states for every field

  • Verified. An editor opened the provider's pricing page, recorded the value, the URL, the date and their initials.
  • Not independently verified. The value reflects the provider's public materials or editorial knowledge and has not been checked against a dated source. Shown with a visible label.
  • Verification needed. No value has been entered. The page shows "Pricing verification needed" and the calculator shows "Insufficient verified pricing information."

What we record

Pricing URL, date checked, starting price, billing model, included minutes, calls, agents and numbers, overage per minute and per call, setup fee, annual discount, free trial, human escalation, appointment scheduling, CRM integrations, the plan list, notes and the source URL. Plan notes carry limits the provider states (concurrency caps, retention windows, knowledge-base sizes).

Staleness

Any pricing check older than 30 days is flagged on the pricing table, the provider profile and the verification log, and queued for re-checking in our editorial admin.

The calculator

Estimated usage is monthly calls × average minutes. For flat-monthly and tiered plans we pick the cheapest verified plan whose included minutes cover the usage; if none does, we take the largest priced plan and add overage only when the provider publishes a verified overage rate. Otherwise the result is marked a partial estimate. Per-minute and per-call models require a verified rate. Quote-based plans are marked as such. Requirements you tick (human escalation, scheduling, CRM) exclude providers whose verified data says "no."

Comparisons

Pricing comparison pages include dollar-to-dollar rows only when both providers are verified. Otherwise the page contrasts billing structure and states plainly that a figure is pending.

Conflicts of interest

The publisher has a financial interest in Torklio. Torklio's pricing was verified with the same procedure as any other provider's, and its row carries the same date and source link as every competitor's. This relationship is disclosed wherever Torklio appears.
